How do I register for the Run with Heart?
Registration is only online.

Team Registration Instructions:
Type your team name. If the team has already been created, its name will
be displayed for you to join. If you are creating this team, type the
name in here, then click Next and the team will be in the system for future
teammates to join.
Create a new team: Type in the new team name in the field marked Team on the 3rd page of registration.
Then click Next. The team name will be saved and whoever created the team
will automatically be made the team captain.
Join an existing team: Type the first word of the team in the field marked Team on the 3rd page
of registration. The team name should "pop up". Then click on
the team your joining. The team name should auto-populate to the team
field. Then click Next to join that team.
Do you have a special fee for emergency responders and school teams?
See the team discounted fees.
Can emergency responders, corporate or schools or teams register on Race Day?
No, all teams must be registered before race day.
If I register online, how do I know if I am registered?
Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email.
Is there an extra fee to register online?
Yes, there is an additional processing fee to online registration which
is 6.75% + $1 per transaction.
When and where can I pick up my race packet?
You can pick up all race materials in person on Friday, January 24, 2020,
from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lifetime Fitness located at 1551 E. Debbie Lane
in Mansfield. You can also pick up all race materials on race day, Saturday,
January 25, 2020 at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, 2700 E. Broad
Street, Mansfield, 76063. Look for registration signs.
Can someone else pick up my Race Packet or vice versa?
Yes. Please bring a copy of the registered runner’s identification
so we know we are giving out the correct materials for the correct person.
Do you mail out the race bibs?
No. All bibs, t-shirts must be picked up during packet pick up, or on race day.
Can I walk in an event or do I have to be a runner?
Walkers are definitely welcome in all races. Register for the event of
choice and enjoy yourself. There is a 4 hour time limit on the half marathon
which equates to a pace of 18:19/Mile. The course closes at 11:30 a.m.
Is the 1 Mile Fun Run timed?
No. The 1 Mile Fun Run will not be timed. This is a fun run for all ages
to enjoy getting out and experience the great feeling of running/walking
at an event.
Is there a charge if I choose to be timed?
No. It is included in the cost of the race registration for the 5K &
Half Marathon.
What is the timing system?
The jaguar chip is used for the half marathon and 5K events. The jaguar
chip is distributed with your race bib and peeled off on race day and
attached to your shoe. Please click here for more instructions on using
the jaguar chip.
Where do I find the race results?
Race results and awards will be posted on race day at itsyourrace.com and
at the results tent at the Run With Heart Finish Line Celebration. You
can also find the results posted online at www.mansfieldrunwithheart.org
and www.itsyourrace.com. Also, winners' names will be submitted to the
Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
What are the team awards?
Team awards are for fastest emergency responders team, fastest school team,
fastest open team, fastest corporate team and largest teams based on the
number of registered participants across all events.
Do you offer prize money?
No. Prize money is not awarded. All proceeds of the race will support cardiology
services at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and the Tarrant County
American Heart Association.
What are the individual award categories?
Awards are presented for the top Overall & Masters M/F and the top
three finishers in each age group in both the 5K and Half Marathon. Age
Groups include 5K: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, then 10 year age groups
from 20 – 80+ Half: 19 & under, then 10 year age groups starting
at 20 – 80+
ALL HALF MARATHON FINISHERS RECEIVE A FINISHER’S MEDAL.
Can we wear costumes in the event?
No. For safety we don’t encourage participants to show up in costumes!
Is there assistance available if I can’t do the whole course?
Yes, we have police officers patrolling the course. If you need assistance,
just ask a volunteer or an officer for help. We also have water stops
located on the course.
Are strollers allowed on the course?
Yes, we do allow people to run with baby joggers or strollers. Please place
yourself according to pace. There is no stroller division.
Can I run with my dog?
No. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the course and not allowed inside
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center for pre- or post-race activities
Are skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or bikes allowed?
No. For safety, please keep these items off the course.
Where are the bathrooms located?
Bathrooms are located on the property grounds, parking areas at Methodist
Mansfield Medical Center and along the half marathon course inside the
park at Linear trail and portables.
Do you offer Personal Item Storage?
No, we suggest you store your items in your vehicle prior to the race or
ask a friend or family member for assistance.
How long will the race course stay open?
The course will remain open for 4 hours for official timing. A 4 hour half
marathon is approximately 18:19 pace per mile. Please be sure you can
maintain this pace for the full 13.1 miles. The course closes at 11:30 a.m.
Where do I park?
Parking is free and available on the east side of Methodist Mansfield Medical
Center, 2700 E. Broad Street, Mansfield, TX 76063. Parking is also available
at Mary Orr Elementary.
How can I volunteer?
Please visit our registration page and click on the VOLUNTEER button to
register as a volunteer. Our volunteer coordinator will contact you closer
to the event. All volunteers must check-in on race day to receive their
volunteer race shirt.
Can I get community service hours for volunteering?
Yes. There will be community service hour forms available for volunteers
after completing their shift. The forms will need to be signed by an authorized
race staff person.
Are there concessions available at the Mansfield Run with Heart?
Fresh fruit, muffins, coffee, water, and heart healthy goodies will be
available prior to and following the race, at the Methodist Mansfield
Finish Line Celebration.
What if it rains or snows?
The Methodist Mansfield Run With Heart will go on in all-weather unless
advised by race authorities it is unsafe to continue.
What happens to the proceeds from the Mansfield Run with Heart?
Proceeds from the race will go toward helping support cardiology services
at the hospital, as well as sustaining our Heart of the Community Program,
a program that helps improve the cardiovascular health of the communities
we serve through heart disease education, prevention and encouraging a
heart healthy lifestyle. A portion will also go to the Tarrant County
American Heart Association.
